Ever have one of those days where all cylinders are just completely firing with you and your team/crew, and you just absolutely own anything you touch? Having one right now. Just nailed a pitch for something that's never been done. Very, very exciting stuff.

These are the days that make the 16-hour slogs worth it. Got any stories of your own glory? Ever worked 36-hours straight to beat the deadline and just completely blown the client away? Just running on pure adrenaline and inertia.

Up early for the hope of a brand new day
See a homie you ain't seen since back in the day
Fresh haircut fitted with a fat ass fade
End of work, we chilling on a Saturday
How you felt when you first heard the Daddy Kane
Rakim KRS hey I had that tape
Cooling out with ol' girl on a fat ass date
Find a hundred dollar bill wow man that's great
Get promoted at your job up to management
Plot a long time finally a plan has made it
Time I feel I wanna shout, man its real that way
Wanna think of things that make you feel that way
Make you feel that way
Make you feel that way...

For me it was "Diner for Two". Every step of the way people who heard what I was doing told me "don't do it", or just generally said they thought it was a bad idea. But I plowed through, with minimal rehearsals, an extra night of shooting, and no on set audio, it turned out to be my most popular film yet. As for all the naysayers who came to the cast/crew/families premiere party? Loved it. :)

That is a nice feeling. And, I think, an almost inevitable one to success. I can't even remember how many times someone looked askew at me when they heard what I was trying to do with limited resources, from my student films to Caldera and even this whole company. A couple times their grave warnings were correct but in general I think it's hard to achieve real success if you don't fly in the face of conventional wisdom.

I liked your film, by the way.
