out of sync

I'm so sorry if this has been discused before but I can't find it. Could you send me some clues please?


Basically, capturing footage shot 24p, squeeze. My seetings are, for capturing and sequence have the same preset. DV NTSC 48Khz/16bit. anamorphic checked. aspect radio NTSC DV (3:2), 29.97 fps.

This the normal set up I use for capturing DV footage just added the anamorphic setting.

Audio is out of sinc....before image.

Any ideas? could anybody give me a hand?

Never mind. Its good now.

I recapture this time with my cheap camera/deck and a good high quality firewire cable and all is good. Before I captured with my DVX using a 6 feet cheap firewire cable. I bet it was the cable.
happy, I can keep shooting and stuff.

I had a similar problem but when I export to Qucktime Conversion it got the audio out of sync with the picture... anyone know what causes this problem? The sequence was fine in FCP, just not after making QT conversion. Sequence 1080p24 shot with Canon A1.
 
Not that this is your problem but the DVX100A sends the audio ~1 1/2 frames out of sync over firewire. I think they fixed this in the 100B.
