Our first video using the Phantom Miro, a couple of lessons

We're pretty proud of this one.

This was our first shoot with Miro, so it was a learning experience for everyone involved, but a damn fun one for sure. We lit everything with 2 2k's run off of a Honda generator. In the extensive reading we did in preparation, there were several sites that said you really needed a minimum of 5k's to ensure that there would be no flicker.

We didn't have the budget for 5k's.

Happily, the 2k's did a great job and worked flicker free at up to 1500fps. Now, we gained up quite a bit on the Miro to compensate. I think we might have gone all the way to 1600 iso, but it still produced a pretty darn good picture, and with the Red Giant Denoiser, it worked very well. I can't speak much about the Phantom software, but Stephen had a pretty easy time with it.
