I'd like to use the feature of the DVX-100A in which it sends the image being recorded out the FireWire port (Other Functions > DV Control > Both), for backup and logging purposes. Two questions...
1. Is there any harm in just leaving this function set to "Both"?
2. Does anyone have recommendations for software on OS X to receive the images being logged? My experiments with FCP have been mixed, because of the TC breaks when I pause recording.
