I was wondering if anyone has had issues with the Osram 930 lamp loosing its luminance after use? We relamped all our fixtures in April with the 930 at our studio when we went HD. After only 3 months of active use, we lost about 10 foot candles per fixture. Just seeing if anyone else had this issue or could explain.

Is this a dulux L or a studioline type bulb? 55w or 4 foot tube? 930 is a common designation describing 3200K color temperature but doesn't tell much about the rest of the type of bulb.

Normally you can expect about 6000 to 8000 hours of use out of these kinds of tubes. Dulux L is the cheaper alternative Osram tube. That being said, there are lots of possibilities for why this might happen. One is that some tubes may actually last for the normal rated hours but about half to three quarters of the way through their life, the color temperature could change a bit or luminance could drop. Perhaps the batch you got has some variances and their lifetime may not be as normally expected.
