Oscars thread?

hmm... I think I may have just confirmed a bug in the promote to articles feature. it was pointed out that the thread disappeared after promoting something (new issue since latest software upgrade).

I was testing. used that thread as a test... didn't even actually promote it, but it apparently made the thread vanish anyways....

so... err... my bad :) least now I know it's a bug since the upgrade, though

Yeah, I had just finished watching the video Michael posted and was about to comment on it and *poof!* it was gone.

In fact I'm completely serious when I say I think it's the best film to win best picture since 1977 when Annie Hall won.

I can't believe some of the winners since then.

Really? Silence of the Lambs, Unforgiven, Schindler's List, Titanic, American Beauty, Gladiator? I thought The Artist was a pretty neat little film, and as an attempt to recreate the lost art of silent film, it succeeded on every level. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't find the past two BP wins, The King's Speech and The Hurt Locker, both to be superior works of cinema.
