Oscar Season: Bring on the Overrated Movies

So Fall always bring us a truckload of films hoping to be the next Oscar contender but, in my opinion, 90% of these movies turn out to be overhyped crap. What have you seen lately that you think is totally overrated?

Well I have the ability to sniff a overhyped movie (both overmarketed and overreviewed) miles away.

So I usually avoid them.

But i think Sin city were overhyped. Sure it had a nice visual style that was fun to watch, but has a whole the movie was a letdown.

Crash, I thought that movie was way overated, it sucked.

It looks to me like there are alot of good movies waiting to come out this season.

I really want to see "Capote".

To me the hype machine starts after the new year when they are all gunning for Oscar.

The most recent overhyped crap I can recall was Seabiscuit. It was a very expensive piece of sentimental drivel. It was oozing with that polished overhyped veneer that only bad oscar grubbing movies have. Worse part about overhyped crap is that it wastes good acting talent.

then why do you look at the ads,just asking? just watch the film without listening to the hype
