Orion Multimedia?

[Jim Brennan]

Anybody know or work with these guys?

I have a 2-day shoot with them next week.

[Terry_Lasater]

Not I. Are they leaving you short on info for the shoot?

[Jim Brennan]

Nope. A DP friend of mine called me up for the job. They are shooting on the RED and need me for DIT/grip/gaffer duty for a field shoot. I hadn't heard of them, so I thought I'd ask around.

Turns out these guys are total pros. Treated us right, knew how to plan and organize the shoot, and let us do our job. Don't know if it was us or the footage, but they were impressed enough to book us for a shoot in the Bahamas in May.

The only downside was watching a bunch of ducks get shot and two remote helicopters crash.

Hopefully the Bahama's will fair better for bad luck. That was a pretty tough day both with the wind and one mechanical issue.

Think of the bright side. They wont be shooting ducks in the Bahamas. Dolphin maybe, but no ducks.

heh.

Nice to hear apart from the shooting part, the experience was an enjoyable one for you. That doesn't seem to happen enough. Have fun in the Bahamas!

*grumbles about not going to the Bahamas*
