Organizing Render files?

I've been editing a feature for about 18 months. During that time I have worked on dozens of different projects on about 10 different Hard Drives. I have not always reset my capture scratch when I went in to different projects to work (lesson learned).

So now I have a variety f render files in different folders on different drives for the same project. It is only now becoming an issue because I have to take the drives that the feature is on and hand them over for further post work. I don't want to leave that guy with a bunch of unnecessary rendering.

So, would going around and collecting all of those render files and combining them into one folder on the project drive be the best strategy? Would that even work?

Thanks

Hi Jim, short answer, yes it would. Your FCP project will tell you the files are missing from their original locations when you reopen the project after the reorganize. Simply a matter of then repointing FCP to the correct location and they should just link up.
