EVS and B&H are the biggies in online equipment purchase. Adorama is good too, but sometimes out of stock..

I've bought from BH dozens of times and EVS a handful. They are both imminently professional. But if you want information about the equipment, call EVS. The salespeople at BH are not as willing to answer questions. In the last year, I've mainly chosen between the two based on who had what I needed in stock.

stay away from adorama.

i ordered from them twice and both times an item in the order was out of stock and they shipped me the partial shipment and didn't say a damn word about the missing item.

i had to email or call them and they were clueless.

"oh yeah thats out of stock"

then "hey that thing came in"

they didn't ship it they would have kept my money if i hadn't said either cancel the item or hey, its in stock, why don't you send it to me??

not dishonest or anything, just amateur hour.

I've had nothing but good experiences with EVS (evsonline.com). Rush (EVS) is a member here and you get a DVXuser discount. The guy knows his stuff too! And the service is great.

I bought my DVX from Adorama...been ordering from them and B&H for years and never had a problem.

Have to add - I've bought several things from Adorama over the years and have not had a problem. :o

Adorama is not an authorized dealer for the DVX, neither is the Hollywood Rental place. Be sure to ask for the Mggic Bullet/DVX Book version.

Thanks for the reply Jan. Actually, I bought one of the original DVX100, before the a model came out. I wish I would have gotten the Magic Bullet with the original DVX.

I'm looking at buying an on-camera light.

I bought from B&H a lot of accesories. I´m living in Spain. Good service, no problems.
