Ordered the DVX100a, tripod, mattbox, filters, wireless mics, Pelican case, etc from EVS recently! Excited as can be at this point. Tommie, the sales rep, gave a heck of a discount for all that stuff. Also, I called Rostronics, and Tom, was of great help in my purchase. I forgot to order some additional lights and gave Tom a quick call, after about 5 minutes on the initial order, only to find out he was packaging my stuff right there and then! Hows that for service. Anyhow, I can't wait to get my hands on the DVX.
 
..this should probably be moved to the "cafe ala DVX " section. as it is not technically related at all. try to be watch where you post stuff and put it in a section that makes sense. but congrats on the purchase. youll love it. welcome aboard. :thumbsup:
 
Congratulations!

Hopefully, you won't get one of those recalled models that makes a clunking sound when it is turned off and moved around.
 
.no worries ..i dont think anyone cares when somenone new does it once or twice.. its after we tell them and they still do it that we find out where they live and stuff rotten eggs and skunk bladders in thier ventilation system. :)
 
I didn't see tapes on your list. :) It would be a ***** to have your camera show up an dnot be able to use it. Welcome to the club.

I did get the model that makes the clunking sound when it is moved around. Is this model defective? Should I return it for an exchange?

Also, Rush, I did not get the Barry Green book/dvd as well.
 
Sorry Rene, some DVX's (like 9) were delivered to us accidentally without the DVX handbook, and Jan-C told us to just include a letter with each camera to explaining that, and she will send out the DVX book to each person that did not receive it. All you do is send her an email with the serial and your address. PS, that entire batch was sold in less than 24 hrs., and our recent batch came with the DVX book.

As far as clunking sound, well, after our conversation today, I figure you now understand now that your fellow DVXusers were just welcoming you aboard the Love Boat :grin:
