Options/Avenues for Production Insurance

Hey all..

So I'm shooting a commercial in a few weeks and need production insurance for the shoot. The only catch is that our main character is a chimpanzee and all of the insurance options I've come across specifically list animals as an exclusion to their coverage.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as getting a short term insurance coverage that will cover animals?

Thanks,
MikeA

heh...well, BY him.

the rest of the cast is a bunch of models...if they plan on getting frisky with the chimp that day, i think insurance will be the least of my issues.

HAHAHAHA, that was awesome.

Well I know that through my insurance provider, Wells Fargo, I can call and explain the situation and seek additional insurance on a per-shoot basis, I would think most production insurance companies would have similar options. Typical exclusions are gang rap, railroad tracks, pyrotechnics, stunt work, animals, etc.
