Optical invention: Eliminates breathing & gives ANY lens a geared 240° cine ring!

..the image quality impact it has on lenses...

$200 or $2000, if it negatively affects the image, no thanks. Seems a bit backwards..... Having just bought a Zeiss 85 and loving how it looks, seems ridiculous to put anything on it to take away from it's image.

I've never heard a producer or anyone I've shot with ask "How come the lens zooms a bit when you change focus?" (assuming they dont know what breathing is) -> But you would DEFINITELY hear "Whats all this blue crap all over of the image??".. heh

But that living room shot wasn't a flare inducing situation, until you put that adapter on it.

I was walking around the room with a 7" monitor searching for the exact angle it flared, it does increase flare though as in the OP that's not questionable.

Fair enough, the RF not for you (someone who hates flares and doesn't mind breathing, it's exactly for your opposite)

The 85mm Batis? I'm really tempted to get one, searching for the best 85 anyway, what zeiss did you get if not the batis?

Yeah it would definitely be great for someone who wants to eliminate lens breathing (I actually know a guy who HATES it, I forwarded him the link heh)

I picked up the Zeiss ZE 1.4 - Love it so far! A fair bit of CA @ 1.4 but 98% gone by 2.0 - ridiculously long focus throw as well

I've only got a vintage taking lens (Super Takumar 55mm) to pair with the SLR Magic Anamorphot and Rangefinder at the moment, as it vignettes on my other modern primes, I'm waiting on some clamps I've ordered to pair up a modern taking lens with another 2x anamorphic, but this was a test exercise, trying to focus pull with a moving quadcopter.
