I'm leaving Apple behind, and I want to do it properly. Last time I build my own machine is around 15 years ago, so I had to realise that a lot has happened since then.
So after some "research" and so on I've come up with the following build which I will use for 70% AE / Cinema 4D / Premier Pro / Resolve and 30% Maya / 3DS / Nuke.
Intel Core i7 5820K / 3.3 GHz Processor - LGA2011-v3
ASRock X99 Extreme4 - ATX LGA2011-v3
MSI GTX 980TI 6GD5 - 6GB
Kingston HyperX FURY Black Series - 4x8GB DDR4 2133MHz PC4-17000 CL14
Samsung 850 EVO MZ-75E500 - 2.5″ SATA-600 500GB (OS and Apps)
Samsung 850 EVO MZ-75E1T0 - 2.5″ SATA-600 1TB (proj / render disk)
Cooler Master Hyper 412S CPU cooler - 120mm
CoolerMaster Silent Pro M2 850W - 135 mm PSU
Fractal Design Define R5 - ATX Casing
Is this a good starting build?
