"operation could not be performed because there is no video" message

I am working on FCP HD 4.5, OS X version 10.3.9 and capturing on my Panasonic 100a.

The footage has been shot in 24PA and I am capturing it with Advanced Pulldown removal.

I have already logged and captured a lot of footage, but today FCP gives me an error message: "Operation could not be performed because there is no video".

There is video on my tapes and I can preview it on the camera (and the computer during log and capture).

And now one more problem:
in the Log and Capture window i have "Preview Disabled", even though I can still control the deck and play the tape on my external monitor using the log and capture window controls.

I restarted my G5 and rewinded the tape and all it's not capturing the footage. If anyone still knows why this happened I'd love to know. Thanks again.
