So we've been experiencing a problem since we updated to fcp6. When we open old projects from fcp5 and older we are having some footage that in the timeline appears off. The audio stays correct but in the timeline the footage showing is from elsewhere in the clip. The timecode from the clips reads correct, if you grab the ends of the clip and drag them it shows u the right footage, but when the playhead plays over the clip the footage is off. BUT if you export the clip the footage will be correct and line up with the audio. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? It makes any editing very difficult as u have to go into the clip find your in and out points, delete the clip, and then go find those in and outs and put a new clip from the main footage back in. We've seen this problem with dvx 24p footage, hvx 720p 24pn footage, and hvx dvcpro ntsc 29.97 footage.
On one project with dvx 24pa footage we went to analize clip and got these results. Now it appears for some reason that our frames are being extended to 1.75 frames of time for the most part, which would explain the difference in footage in the timeline but not why it renders out correctly. Also this is only in one project, in another our frames all were analized at 1.0 durations, yet the clips are still off.
When we go to the clip and do analize clip we are seeing that "the track contains: 55904 frames of a duration of 1.2500 frames. One frame of duration 1.7500frames, and 7 frames of a duration of 1.0 frames.
anyone have this problem or ideas or anything?
