Here is a thought. There are a lot of adds for roommates and this is such the industry town since they built the Raleigh studios here. 8)

Back on topic. Steve, I forgot to mention I have an FCP editor buddy thats interested also. He wants to build a reel. He just bought Avid to learn on his Mac. Any room for a editor / Sound engineer/ Composer ?  How are your Avids working out? 8)

Anyways, I guess I was dreaming. I remember in the city I grew up (Edmonton, Alberta) I could rent an entire house for 300 bucks.. mind you it was friggin 50 below freezing and sometimes you couldnt leave the house because 5 feet of snow blocked the door..

In Vancouver, Our condo is smaller than most house's balconies, and we pay over 1100 bucks a month... I dont know why I thought LA would be cheaper.

Steve, my friend seems to think the Mojo is not an issue, at least not yet. I told him about the problems but he went ahead with it even though he's a FCP guy. I'll keep you posted with how it works out. I'll be supplying him with the 24p stuff. His day job is sound engineer for video games. He wants to expand!

Another option for you Steve..... I am an Avid user with xp pro w mojo, I am sure we could work something out. I am a VERY experienced editor with over 10 years behind the Avid. I have edited on everything from a xpress system to the DS. And I have worked on shows for TLC/Discovery, court TV, done music videos, commercial work, you name it. So if your lookin for an editor......let me know... I would be Very interested to discuss the possibility with you.

Steve, can you give me some more info on this big project you are working on, I would certainly like to be of assistance to you. I can also explain an amazing colaborative workflow between the 2 of us using Avid, so that you can, with an email see the changes in full rez dv on your system that I make only moments before.
