This looks like a VERY interesting lighting idea/kit/product. What do you think?
I have no connection with this project, but I think I think I will put some money into the Kickstarter project.

Google > SmartPhone controlled lighting. Now ask yourself : "is this really a novel idea"?
It was obvious to me about three years ago so here we are
I only say because they will not be able to patent it with all those priors.
My big holdout is smartphone centered medical diagnostics.
Computer controlled lighting is as old as the hills. You know that!

@Zephyrnoid it appears that you have completely missed the point here. Or perhaps you forgot that this is the DIY forum. If you don't care for DIY, maybe this forum isn't for you. I am giving you the benefit of the doubt that you know what open source means.

I really don't care how novel the idea is, the question that matters to me... "Is there anything better at a comparable price point?"

- Equivalent size
- Equivalent light output
- Equivalent price
- WiFi Control

...Because if there aren't any competitors, then this is the only game in town.
