only 35 mm and SONY HD go to SUNDANCE

I am just checking the movies accepted to SUNDANCE 2005 and what I have found is that only 35mm and SONY HD camera movies are there.

Do you know what camera they are talking about? Why everybody who decides to go to SUNDANCE (and shot digital) chooses SONY HD camera? Which one is this? Or maybe SUNDANCE wants filmmakers who shot on digital to give a copy on HD tape?

What is going on?

This is the link with the movies accepted to SUNDANCE 2005:

Don't know why you say that... Jan was pointing out that at least five or six of the Sundance films were shot on the DVX. They're probably referring to the projection format, rather than the origination format, so some of those that say "35mm" may have been DVX footage (or XL2 footage or SDX footage or BetaSP footage or 16mm footage) transferred to 35mm, and those that say Sony HD Cam are probably video projects or telecine'd film projects that are transferred to Sony's HDCAM format for projection.

I saw a sundance short today that I know was shot on the DVX, cause I talked to the DP.

I can confirm that all digitally mastered material exhibited at Sundance has to be submitted on (and is projected from) HDCAM, regardless of origination format or manufacturer of origination equipment.

..do they still also offer and have a little WM9 projection? they did last year.
not that its a big deal to TX to HDCAM though.
