Adobe OnLocation:
It would be great if I could import clips from Final Cut Pro (or any other application) into OnLocation and split screen ("onion skin") them with live video in the monitors. This would allow me to, for example, more accurately shoot process (green screen) footage to match imported background plates.
When I try to drag footage edited in FCP (Quicktime files) into OnLocation, nothing happens: no error message, nothing. Just an empty DVR. I've tried different resolutions (480 DV, 720 DVCPro HD) with no luck. Of course, importing Quicktime files that were recorded in OnLocation works fine.
Am I missing something? What codec does OnLocation record Quicktime with? Has anyone solved this problem?
