online video links?

Hey all,

I'm trying to put together a directory (of sorts) for sites related to video production for web distribution.

I was hoping you guys could pitch in by divulging a few of your favorite links.

Anything that has to do with creating videos/filmmaking for internet distribution (including vidcasts and vlogs) is potentially fair game. Whether it's an upload site like youtube or vimeo, a web series, a production company that makes web series, a tutorial site that helps people make web series, a *ahem* message board where people talk about making web videos, whatever... let me look at it and I'll decide if it makes the list.

It's an exaustive process compiling and coding this, but video created specifically for the web gets the short shrift on resources despite being a rapidly growing phenomenon. I'm hoping to try and change that.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to share your links.

Aww, c'mon guys, don't make me beg. ;)

What's some of the best made for web stuff you've seen?

Who do you know that's shooting for the web?

Links please! ;)

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I guess it can only help.

Lot's of good links there, Mile. Thank you.

All:

That thread covers quite a few of the content portals (sites like youtube and vimeo that host videos). It's especially good since the links go in depth into to companies' history and purpose, which is what I'm also trying to do.

I'm still looking for links to production companies that do for-the-web work (60 Frames Entertainment is an example), as well as links to original web series.

Please share 'em if you have 'em...

Matt, thank you for those.

Grinner, with your permission, I'll be sure to add you to the directory. How's the boat show coming?

granted, my friend.
It's coming good. The economy has folks/sponsors just scared enough to try things outside the box...

Consider it done, G. The directory (as well as the rest of the site) launches March 1.

And I'm still collecting links for web series and prodcos, if anyone has any others. ;)
