Anyone here ever been in any? What do you guys think of them? I need to make some money and shoot something so I was thinking of giving them a try

I've done a few. Some are based on views and i never enter those ones because there's always some little kid who makes a terrible video but gets like a million hits and the good ones get kicked aside but the ones that have judged votes end up with good results. I've won a few of them and got some good chunks of money. It's a fun little weekend hobbie me and some friends do. Check online video contests and do it by judged.

A good friend of mine is doing stuff on Poptent and has had spots bought recently... he is happy with the process and the pay for what is really spec work.

How come you don't do them?^^^^^^

What are the pros and cons you guys think of doing these contests?

My guess:

Pros:
Good money
A lot of contests all the time

Cons:
Spec work, no guarantee of payment

.....that's all I can think of
