Online Horror Short distribution with Alter, Crypt TV or Shudder?

Hello,

I was wondering if any filmmakers here have experience with distributing their horror shorts through either Alter, Shudder or Crypt TV?

Do you know if they "buy" or "commission" short films?
Does the filmmaker make a profit or honorarium?

Or are people distributing through them for exposure and to reach a wider audience?
In your opinion, is one better for filmmakers than the others, and are they worth getting involved with?
