Online Digital Signatures

[MagnumDB]

Are there any websites that offer services for digital signatures?

I'd like to make a release form that people who've appeared in my videos can sign online.

Demand Studios does just this. You send an email to the person you need a signature from, what they get is a link in the email which the click on. It takes them to a page with all the fine print, and at the bottom are areas to type your full name, and address into. Then a radio button to select saying you've agreed to the contract, then hit submit.

Does anyone know the name of a site where I can create something like this?

Thank you!

Get their release BEFORE the camera rolls - don't count on their being willing to sign it after the fact. Going forward with your idea, sooner or later you're going to end up in a situation where you have an absolutely critical piece of footage you need for your production and everything grinds to a halt because someone in the shot is ignoring your requests for their digital signature. When you're shooting it's going to be just as easy, and probably a lot eaiser, to approach someone with the release to sign as it is to approach them and ask for their email address. Either way, you're going to have to hand them a piece of paper and ask them to write something on it, you might as well get the release done then and there. And to be honest, if you were to approach me I'd be a lot less reluctant to initial a short release than I would be to give you my email while if you gave me a card with a site to visit to sign the release it would drop into the nearest trash can as I went on down the street.
