what would be the best way (sequence settings) to edit 24p, 24p adv. and 60i footage in one FCP sequence?

edit in a regular 60i sequence... i believe FCP will add in a 2:3 pulldown automatically to 23.98 footage when put in a 29.97 sequence.

Decide if you want the final piece to be true 24p or 60i. If 60i- capture all of the 24p and 24pA footage with the pulldown left in- do not remove it. Then it will act as 60i but retain the 24p look. If you want to have it be native 24p, capture all of the footage to 24p and convert the 60i to 24p using for example the Nattress plugin.

All things being equal I'd go with the 60i route- simpler and much less conversion required. The only drawback is you can't easily go out to film nor create a native 24p DVD. But for most folks this is not an issue. (I go over all of this on my DVD btw..) :)

i'm an idiot... i can't find any 2:3 pulldown. the only pulldown that i see is the advanced pulldown removal in easy set-up. hmm... is that what your talking about?

No, you don't physically do the pulldown, you just drop the clip into the Sequence in the Timeline window and it will conform.

You have to first answer this question; what is your target final output?
