One of the best shorts I ever saw

Dark Side of the Camera
This is about two years old, so I don't know if it was already mentioned here, but you can always watch it again.

I couldn't believe one second of it let alone the rest. Gawwwwd.

//edit: What might have been cool is to do one of those 70's things where you put the girls phone conversation into a small cube in the top corner of the screen and still showed the guy driving. Kind of like Tarantino or , you know what I mean?
//I don't have an immediate example but this comes to mind for no reason, if you've seen this one. As in some retro 70's shots throughout the movie. -beers.

//edit: I guess what I'm saying is I didn't like the directing (yikes) on the OP's post.

F*ck production value, give me story !!!! Great find Frank, I enjoyed it immensely !

Yeah, they had me, when I saw that shot clown and the drunken hooker on the backseat.
Reminds me a bit on Tarantinos "Four Rooms".

You need to chase a rabbit down the hole and go on an adventure to rediscover the magic of cinema! (admittedly i use that term loosely) :)

Loved it Frank. Don't think it would have been any better with good production value, works well as it is.

Ive seen this a long time ago, and I just re watched it. In my opinion it's one of the best shorts (like you said). I also remember watching a video on YouTube, at B&H channel. It was Q&A with the maker of the video.

Some production value would have made this 100 times better. Story is always supported with better production value, never enhanced with less quality.

I dont see what was so bad about the production value. It was shot on a pentax, which would explain the high level of noise in the image. But seriously other than that what was wrong with it. I thought it was shot brilliantly, it gave a sense of urgency and voyurism. There were some great angles, the acting was good, the color correction had a bit to much green in the shadows for my taste, but grading is pretty subjective. great story, Im having a real hard time finding things that were not good.

For those of you that thought the production value sucked, please explain what was so bad about it.
