One man film

I totally get where he's coming from... but if I did this then it wouldn't be so much to prove a point about doing something by myself as it would be about sparing myself the headaches of everything that falls through on local low-budget filmmaking.

I've talked about doing this for years... just for one of the fests though, not a feature.

Sidebar; does anybody else have the occasional sigh about the "me" generation? I'm pretty sure they claimed the me generation to be in the 80's or 90's, but I'd argue that it's very much RIGHT NOW. So much self-indulgent, self-important crap... some days I can hardly stomach it.

Cell phone conversations, ipods, game-boys, ps2... whatever... it's like people are so immersed in their personal experience on a daily basis... not an experience of themselves within their environment, but rather everything from the skin INWARD. It's like people hope to be celebrated for who they are rather then what they accomplish. We are the generation of emo-feelers, praising digital goals, and documenting it for posterity that won't care to watch it anyway.

If the guy's one man flick comes out well... THEN would be the time to put up the blogs... IMO... and then I'll eat my words.

I personally think it's irrelevant whether it turns out well or not. It'll be interesting to follow it regardless of how it ends.

I hope it turns out well... I think the BTS of the story would be more interesting if it does.
