"One" - Intro - another tease

Re: "One" - Intro - another tease

Looks good; give us some more when you get a chance.

I'm a little behind on this project. Feature? Short? Just you, or a whole crew? What's the deal?

MD

That is some sweet overhead camera action and the music is perfect. It had a total cinematic feel it it.

Re: "One" - Intro - another tease

This footage is all from the GL2.  I'm working on getting the DVX in the near future.

MDFilms is just me at the moment.  I do hire out for things but not much.
This project is going to be a short.  Its called "one" because no matter how many people you know, love or meet, you must feel everything on your own.  I want each viewer to feel something different.  So many different emotions throughout life, but only as "one" we feel them.
Looking through something else's eyes but seeing yourself as well.

I dont own a crane. I use my tripod like a crane to get the overhead shoots. Using my body as the base, then making my moves. It works very well.

If you would like to see more of this project,
goto http://www.mdfilms.net
then click the "short films" tab
"one" is the first project listed.

Thank you for your time and support.  Feel free to ask more questions.

:o Nice work with the GL2!

You're going to start a whole new "should I get the DVX or GL2" thread  ;D

Re: "One" - Intro - another tease

Thanks for all the comments. I'm still trying to make sure everything flows. I hope that everyone who views "one", will feel emotions from there own life.

Re: "One" - Intro - another tease

Nice job Michael,

A couple of comments:

1. In the first two overheads, I felt like the second one was redundant and was becoming more aware of the cool move rather than the subject. Personally, I would have switched out the second shot with a completely different camera angle.

2. What happened to the camera just after it pans across the guy looking out the window. It almost looks like the camera slips. Definitely back up a few frames and edit that puppy out.

The whole thing definitely feels like a movie opening. Very nice work, I'm looking forward to seeing more.
