One day with the Brevis35

I was out messing around and just threw the footage together and put it to a song on my friends new album "The Brooklyn Way" by The Lords of Brooklyn.
Most of it was shot with the DVX and the letter box stuff was shot with a Sony FX1.
This isn't really for anyone to compare since its compressed for the web.
Please right click and save footage to computer. Thanks.

I also have Brevis and M2 footage from the Sony fx1 I will put up later.

Its a beta with a Redrock HD achromat and 50mm nikon 1.4. I wasn't aware of another one.

But I am now. I see it on his site.

Hi Aram, do you have some footage with the FX1 outdoors. I shot some quick run and gun tests in a very suny day and the results look really weird. Dennis said this could have something to do with the fact that I was using the ND filters on the FX1, which means, even though I was seen things properly exposed, it was overexposed on the lenses...he advised me to buy some ND filters so I would control the light directly on the lenses. If you have the time to do such tests (lens nd vs camera nd) it would be really great. Nice footage btw. still think it's a bit soft though.

Aram, whats the reason for owning the brevis and M2? Are you just a 35mm collector?

Which one do you like better?

Aram, your shots and score are refreshingly effervescent. I'm amazed that you manage to infuse your work with those qualities, particularly given all that you've been through in the last month. I'm glad the little adapter is providing some therapy :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

What Zoom setting do you need on the DVX100 to frame the Brevis screen? I am wondering because the aperture of the DVX100 is f/1.6 at wide angle, but only f/2.8 at full zoom, which is nearly 2 stops difference in the light available for shooting with the Brevis.
Do you also find that with the Brevis and a 50mm f/1.4 lens the DVX100 aperture only goes down by half a stop, compared to having no adaptor fitted?
