I also asked around set. Some grizzled old grips said that Merrells and Keene were the only way to go. Went to Dick's that night and got me a pair. They seem to be a half size too big, but they feel 10x better than my generic Walmart sneakers.

I also found that at the end of the day, taking the shoes off and putting on sandals for the drive home seemed to help as well. Also, tying and retying the shoes about half way through the day seemed to changed up the pressure and eased up the aches going on through the day.
