On the Lot

i was going to submit but im gonna wait till the next time if there is... i want to see what competiton level there is and wat they are looking for....

I hate reality tv in general, but I'll probably watch a couple of episodes just to see how ridiculous it will be. Ever since the days of the first Real World, it's always been more about supposed "tension" between cast members than whatever their objective was. It's all a bunch of hooey if you ask me, though I have to admit that the idea is a bit intriguing. Project Greenlight (which I found abysmal...Feast, anyone?) seemed to set the stage, but I guess with Spielberg's name attached they can expect to pull in a lot more viewers. I suppose we'll just see.

As for submissions, I'm with spidey on this one.

i'm interested to see if they're going to go with the filmmakers who were able to drop $10k-$40k on a short film or if they actually were looking for originality even if it was on a shoestring budget.

Great short. Nice music. Good Luck to you.

We went a different route and did a comedy piece.

It's an edited part of our feature "Bad Service". We call the short "A Man on Edge".

Check it out too.

I submitted and am very hopeful. It's not on the site though.

Something I found out though is that everyone who's going to get a call/letter with do so my March 1st. When they do they give you 1 week to submit another movie and an information video. (A few people here and there on the site claim that's what happened anyway, I'm a trusting person). So I'd suggest having something ready just in case.
