"On The Lot" tonight

There hasn't been any shorts with the gravitas or cinematic quality of a Merchant Ivory production. They've all been pretty cheesy with a loud, annoying score.

I've tried catching every episode, but I must admit it's very hard to keep my interest. The show has managed to suck the fun and enjoyment out of the process of making films.

Thanks for the bump. :)

The reason we don't talk about it so much is probably because the show isn't nearly as horrible as it once was.

But did anyone see the last week when Garry Marshall wasn't there, so Penny came on and did an amazing spot-on impersonation of him? It was fantastic. Er, the rest of the show was hideous, of course, but Penny was awesome...

Ill have to check that out on the reruns. I just caught up on the last 4 shows. The one thing I don't like with all the shorts is seeing the same people in them all now.

Zack got voted off and almost started crying , Jason had a mediocore film, Will had a strong one surprisingly now it looks like the guy Adam that did all the musicals is going to win or be in the final showdown. in his short called Army Guy he had a hell of a twist ending i gotta give it to him. it started off weird but it had a twilight zone vibe to it. anybody have any idea where he got that idea from?

i wonder if the people who got voted off has had any opportunities come their way so far?

they have fixed the format (and it seems Adrianna's wardrobe), but don't know how it is possible to get over the inherent challenge of repeatedly producing quality short films with such a quick turnaround.

my thoughts on this week: Sam really shot himself in the foot when he said it was either he or Adam to go. Adam sure peaked at the right time. I felt bad for Zach, but thought it was good for the show ratings to have a curveball. and I am sure he will benefit immensely from his participation. great guest director this week. no ego, good comments, and he wasn't even shilling for some upcoming movie.

I wish they'd take a week off before the finale to give more time to make the final pieces, but they'd probably loose their audience in doing so.

I really enjoy this show now...it definetly got better. Here is my prediction for next week's finale:

Adam wins, Will 2nd, Jason 3rd.

From what I see, Adam seems like he could jump onto a film set and be perfect with everything. Will I love but I didn't predict him winning because of what I think will happen not what I want to happen. I think it would be the coolest if Will won, alot more emotion from me because you can just tell its his last shot before giving up. He's basically said if this doesnt pan out then he has to pick a job at home and stick with it to support his family, this is his last moment to really go at it. Jason is great too but I think because of his competition, it isn't gonna happen.

Anyone get the phone numbers?

The website is down and can't vote there....

Eastern & Central time zones have about 1 hour 15 min before the vote closes..

Appreciate anyones help.....

I had the chance to see the finale taped tomorrow (in the audience) but sadly can't go because I'm shooting something.

i'd be happy for Jason, Will, or Adam to win and think that to a large extent, all three already have. If I were to vote, it would be for Will, but they all were great and I hope they each get to keep living their dreams.

I voted for Adam... his musical really was well done, and his Army Guy one was just super clever... Jason is a close second, as I love his style, and his personality in general, and Will is third, as I think he's the least original in content and style of the three.

I watch it because the viewer numbers are pretty good (and rising...probably because nothing else is on) and it is a good guage of pop culture...which I need to follow.

What I would really like to see is what goes on during the week to actually produce the videos.

if they're not showing anymore short films pm me and let me know so i dont have to watch the last episode of the fake drama, lol.

thanks for the pm Brandon. i'm done with this show. :(

maybe next time we can see more behind the scenes stuff which is more important than what they showed this season - a bunch of comedies and musicals.
