"On The Lot" - Stop Time Effect?

yes its all roto, prettybad roto to, the best shot is where the hat flys into the air and it freezes as time starts, for the first time you see the frozen object behind motion. in every other shot, nothing, even the store clerck was never actually behind the actors and there for no articulate roto. even the shot with the trach falling in front of the hat was bad, all the trash was nothign but 2d images comped in over the hat.

but here the thing, typicaly with roto if you don't see the problems in 2 viewings, its good enough.

no such thing as good vfx, only good enough. or more often, good enough for the time and money on hand.

nothing is ever a final shot, the best you'll ever get is a CBB,
Could Be Better!!!

it sure did work enough to make the other filmmakers jaws drop when they showed zak's short, lol. man, they looked as if they were competing with spielberg himself after they saw his short film. :)

Where is this link?

Where is this link?

I still haven't seen this short film with the stop motion effect, so I was wondering if anyone had a link to it? What was the title? I really wanna see what they did and understand how they did it.
