On-camera monitor distortion

I recently bought a Delvcam DELV-7XPRO 7" SD monitor for my DVX100 and Redrock combo with Nikon lenses, and almost immediately I started noticing some wierd vibrating distortions in the monitor. They are always there, although sometimes they are much worst than othere. I also bought some (supposedly) shielded RCA cables but to no avail. The monitor sits above the hotshoe. Its very annoying and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas why and how to fix it.

Thanks,

Hey,

I don't know what the problem is with your perticular monitor but i was having the same issues in the DVX's LCD. The LCD had a wired vibration distortion. As you said it was worse sometimes and better at other times. I took it to panasonic and they replaced the main board.

So, to make sure that it's not your main board that is causing the distorition in the monitor, unhook your monitor and see if you get the same vibration in the LCD. If you do, then that means your monitor is okay and your main board is bad.

All the best,
