on camera lighting

I am filming a bar mitzva service and party. Which on camera lighting system should I use.

how far away do are you going to be from your subjects? Whats your price range? My initial reccomendation is the VidLed cause its inexpensive and the batteries last for hours. But the LED light falls off at 6-8 feet. Any budget considerations?

My subjects will be pretty close and I need to keep it within the 200$ range.
