On camera light

I am looking for some light for my DVX100A, but I wonder if a camera mounted light will have much effetc in lighting film, or is it better to use a lightning kit (work lamps). Will it have much effetc? (Paglight C6 etc).

I think most prefer not to use on camera lights unless they have to because of the "deer in the headlights" look you get usually. It's usually a thing of that you have to be running off batteries or run and gun or whatever other reason may pop up. Serious lighting of any large area will always need to be with something like the worklights you suggested, fluorescent, or other type instruments like fresnels or pars.
