Will be shooting tight interview set-ups, looking for reasonable on camera light kits...budget is tight so please no recs for $1000+ frezzi kits. thanks
I'd go with the Pag C6 also if your interviews are run & gun. If you actually have time to set up a key/fill/back light then look at Briteks. Cheap but suitable for your budget.
Now let the Britek slamming begin. Look, I'll be the first to admit the Briteks are NOT Arri's, but as long as they are yours and you take care of them you'll get your money out of them without breaking the bank. Of course there are some here that think you shouldn't use anything less than a $2,400 Arri kit and others that use worklights from HomeDepot. What ever floats your boat.
How does the pag6 work does it have a battery so there are no cords just a charger to plug into the wall and charge the battery or does the charger serve as a battery pack that i have to wear to power the lite.
I am currently using the Pag C6. The battery is huge but it will last for hours. I just put the strap over one shoulder and the battery rests on my opposite hip. It's quite comfortable and I honestly forget the battery is there. The light itself is very small and adds very little weight to the camera. The only thing I wish it had was a softbox attachment.
