On Camera LED Light

Vidleds are not available and Lite Panels are too expensive. Any LED on camera lights for under $500 with battery? Or does this not exist?

not sure on the cost, but zylight is another option thats a little less talked about - I think Bebob has an led light as well.

So it looks like some new LED lights need to hit the market because we have to choose between systems that are $1,000 or complete crap. The Varizoom led looked promising but they no longer make lights. The rep at B&H said the Sony LED lights is very good but it needs Sony batteries and I did not want to buy those but if no other options present themselves this year, I may have to go this route.

Yeah, I see now that that ring light from Flolights can be found on ebay for a fraction of the price. Sorry to post such nonsense.

I have a VID LED which is pretty nice. I have two which I stacked together and they put out (I think) about the same as a LitePanel.

This came up once before and the Flo light guys responded here by explaining that their light uses LED's that are balanced for daylight whereas the camping version is extremely blue. They explained the cost by detailing how much work goes into wiring the little LED's.
Sounded believable.
