on board monitor aspect ratio??

Hello!!

I´m about to order Delvcam DELV-PRO56PL "PAL" on board monitor for my xl2.

My question is: How does the monitor show 16:9 aspect ration?? The monitor is 4:3 so does it show 16:9 letterboxed or does it make it same way than my 4:3 television that just fits whole 16:9 picture into 4:3 screen and everything looks sqeezed??

I´m shooting most of the time 16:9, so should I buy 16:9 aspect ratio monitor? How does it show 4:3 then??

It would need to be 4:3 and 16:9 switchable. Check the specs on their site to check. If you plan to shoot mostly 16:9 you should get a monitor that displays such. If not switchable, yes it will look squeezed like TV
