Okay where do I begin. I am fixing an old project that has been sucking all my time away and I feel that the problems are not me, it must be the program. But then again...
The problems I am trying to fix is I have a FCP project with a "NONE" preference for field order. I have graphics rendered from Motion with a "LOWER EVEN" field order. So nothing matches, plus when I render the graphics look choppy.
So I open the old Motion project files, change the "PROJECT PROPERTIES" so that feild order is set to "NONE" and background is set to "TRANSPARENT". I render...when I import to FCP, nothing has changed, the field order is still "LOWER EVEN" and the graphics look choppy!! It's like Motion told me to go fu*k myself and does what it wants. :crybaby:
Now I try something different, this time I set the "PROJECT PROPERTIES" to have the filed order be "UPPER ODD" in Motion...I render...........
NOW!!! when I take the clip into FCP, it did not make the clip "UPPER ODD" instead it made it "LOWER EVEN" again! AND!!!! The alpha channle is gone so the background is black!!!!
It's really like Motion says... "fu*k you I wont do what you tell me"
Now mind you I've tried many other things, and different formulas, and I get different and wrong results everytime. It's as if everything I tell Motion to do, it does what it wants, and somehow knows how to fu%k it up for me. I mean, I at one time actually got the feild order right, but then Motion dicided to ignore the "Transparent" background setting!!!!!! I have 3.0.2...by the way.
I am at a loss for words, I have tried everything under the sun, from opening a new project, putting the files in that etc...its frustrating...please tell me what I am doing wrong or at least tell me that this is a common bug so I can have some closure. This really sucks. Any help would be great. I feel I've tried everything.
Thanks!
