OMF resolution

I have exported an OMF Pal 16:9 DV25 with 4.2.0 sampling to After Effects 6.5. from Avid DV Express Pro.
Everything worked fine in AE but I have not been able to export from AE in DV25 resolution with other than 4.1.1 sampling
My Avid project is 4.2.0 and Avid is not able to convert the 4.1.1 OMF from AE.
Is there any way for After Effects to export 4.2.0?
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Are you rendering with a DV codec? DV25 is the lowest video format you can, and I believe it is inherently 4.1.1. Try exporting in a non compressed format, and you should be fine.

DV25 NTSC is 4:1:1
DV25 PAL is 4:2:0

But take Rapier's advice and render to an uncompressed codec if you're pulling it back into Avid. Things will be much cleaner that way.

Thanks for the correction. I should have been more specific. I always consider DV as NTSC since I work with that, even though I know others have different formats.

If you plan to compose something with After Effect and the footage is on an Avid system, use a QuickTime reference, so, you will keep the qualify because the Quicktime will create a direct link to the OMF file instead of creating a "sequence" and compress with DV codec.
