OMF files...except for video??? Is there such a thing?

So...I'm wondering if there is an .OMF equivalent in Final Cut Pro for video cuts...so that it just exports all the clips that I cut in the timeline into a folder.

I need to color correct while I'm traveling, and instead of taking a harddrive with all of the raw footage...I'd rather just re-export the clips from my timeline so that all I have are the clips I need.

Make sense?

Is there a way to do this besides manually re-exporting each clip in the timeline?

OMF is supposed to work for video but there are so many format that most applications fail in that particular field (either in export or import).
what exist since video exist is EDL (edit decision list) that is a simple format that list all cuts in a timecode format.
don't know about EDL in FCP

There is EDL in FCP...but I don't think that actually re-exports out all your clips in your timeline. I think you still need all the raw files to synch to it later.

I'm looking for something where it exports out new clips from your timeline, so that you don't need the raw files.

It's called the MEDIA MANAGER...and the COPY option, Delete unused. Look up the exact procedure in the manual.

or some people export all the clips converted to a smaller format (proxy) to give a light version of the rushes.
