I received this request from a client:

> (audio)> Please export an audio version of your
> piece at 16> bit, 48 KHz, with 10 second handles.
> Arrange your> audio tracks in your editing
> application such that> each pair of tracks contains
> only one kind of audio.> In final Cut go to
> FILE>EXPORT>AUDIO AS OMF.

When I export OMF all I get is an error stating there is no application available to open OMF.

What app do I need to install to play OMF?
Can this file be burned to a dvd?
How to create the 10 sec. handles?

Thnx

You cannot "play" an OMF, it's a way to send your tracks to another application. Think of it as sort of a Stuffit file. A program like ProTools can open the OMF and turn it into a session file for further work. STP can Import an OMF (FCS 2).

I could say RTFM, but that might not actually help? In the Export settings there is a setting for handle length.
Yes you can save the file(or files) to a DVD or any other writable media.
