Excited to be here. I have been using this site as a resource for the last few months so I decided to join. I have little knowledge but look forward to sharing my experiences. I am probably a little different than most on here as I enjoy filming my hunting adventures. Below is the last video I edited.

Our videos are starting to get past the basics and I am starting to have lots of questions. I use Premiere Pro CC to edit which has been fun and going well. We have two camera setups. I think a lot of my questions are about audio as I feel it is so important and an area I struggle with.
Setup 1
Canon XA20
Sennheiser ew112 with g3 Lav
Rode NTG-2
Manfrotto 055x w/ 502 head
Setup 2
Canon t3i
Sennheiser ew112 with g3 Lav
Rode Video Pro Mic with VXLR connection
Tascam Dr-40
Attenunator Cable
I guess my biggest question is what kind of settings should I use on the Tascom DR-40 for filming outside? What tips do you have for a guy with very little experience? Any suggestions/words of advice with these two setups that could help me get past the learning curve?
