Old B+W Grainy Look

I'm working on a silent B+W film for LoveFest, and I'm trying to get close to the look of the classic silent films. The problem I've run into is in film grain. Every setting I used just looks like the classic "film grain on video" effect that I've seen put on 100 amateur movies. I'm looking for something a bit more unique and was curious if anyone had any ideas.
