Oktavas used on Spiderman 2 !

Hey y'all,
I was just at a buddys house and picked up an older issue of Mix Magazine (didn't check which month but I'm assuming about a year old)

Sound designer Paul Ottoson used an array of MK-012 matched pairs to record the sound effects for spideys web blast. He shot multiple items past the array with a slingshot. He said that they worked great because they were cheap and he kept hitting them with the slingshots.

Oktava ... OTTO oktavius ... doc ock... paul OTTOson. HILARIOUS!

too bad they didn't use them for dialogues....
if they did, even for a second, Oktavas would sell like hot cakes.

thats only proove that the guy is cheap - with his budget he could make it with schoepses - but it really doesnt matter since he could do it with chiniz 50 $ as well :_)
