just received mine today from the sound room and when i pick it up it sounds as if there is a little screw or pin or something loose in there. is this a normal sound, like the 'click' on the dvx?
haven't got my camera around to try it out either (already shipped to SA). should i be concerned?
cheers

The oktava is a very solid mic; there shouldn't be anything rattling. I'd give Sound Room a call. (You did purchase it from Sound Room, right?)

mine doesn't do that either. leave a message if u call them because they never pick up, but he does respond to the messages.

Did you ever get through to the sound-room guys? Did they address the noise problem?

They don't seem to answer email or messages for me. At least with any pre-sale questions.

On the Oktavia there are 3 watch screws that holds the cover onto the body...Maybe one of them has fallen thru..I have taken my oktava apart one time for comparison to fix a loose connection on my friends. You will need a watch screwdrivers to open the oktava. The key ia you will need to screw in the screws and not out to get inside the capsule. Then slide out the capsule cover...mount back the loose screw then do the reverse by screwing out the screws to tighten the cover back onto the mike.
