Oktava MK012 Vs AKG Blue CK93

How do these two microphones compare? I feel like I've read every post on the audio board but I don't think these two have ever been directly compared. I was looking to get the NTG-3 but I realized that most of my shots are going to be indoors, so I think I will go with a hyper and just rent a shot gun when I need it.

Also if I wanted to bump up to the 600-700 dollar range what's good? It seems like the preference for Hypercardioids on this board are either the Oktava MK 012 or the Schoeps mk41. Quite a jump in price. What's in between the two?

Also on the MK012, is it worth it to get the kit with all the capsules (omni, cardioid & hyper or do most folks just get the one hyper and call it a day.

The Octava outputs a hotter signal than the CK93, however the CK93 produces a noticeably warmer and fuller sound. The CK93 is much less susceptible to handling/wind noise. It is also physically heavier. If you notice the difference in Grant's comparison (Thank You Grant) between the Mk012 and 4053b, you'll have some idea of the difference between the Mk012 and Ck93. The 4053b and CK93 are fairly close.
The other contender in the $400-500 range beside the CK93 and AT4053b seems to be the Audix SCX1 which is starting to get some attention here. As far as the capsule kit goes on the Octava, you might not need it. If you do, you can always buy another capsule.

Neumann km185 (hyper) looks interesting. Most places have it at 899. but I think you might be able to get it closer to 700-800. I wanted to test one out a year ago and couldn't find one in my area. I believe early models might have had some rf issues which have been fixed.

I use the Oktava Mk with the Hyper cap and it is fine for indoors and lightweight, which is a plus, especially if you are holding onto a boom for a long time.

I'm curious how the Rode NT3 stacks up against the AT4053b in sound quality. I have 2 NT3s, and they sound great, but I want a lighter hyper so I'll be getting the AT4053b as soon as a couple clients pay their effing invoices... But I digress. Anyway while I still have some time I want to make sure I'll be upgrading my audio quality along with lightning my load.

I'll definitely make my own comparison video when I have both mics.
