All about the Caption
I'm sure many of you have heard about the large grass fires that are burning several acres of land and homes in Oklahoma and Texas. Here are some pics from the local newspaper's website.

I believe this herd of cattle are trying to spell out a plea for help.

Damn! That was the nicest home in Oklahoma.

This fire was within two miles of the neighborhood I live in.

Yeah, it's been bone dry here for months. Which, of course, just adds to the recipe.

We need rain
Cows on the plain
Snakes on a plane
We need rain...

Man I could smell it bigtime up in Tulsa last night. We had a pretty large one over in Jenks last night. Everything ok down there now?

A few years ago, we had fires like that here in Florida. You'd be driving down the road and there would be jsut the scariest looking fires blazing on the roadside. Seemed like it went on forever.

I think we followed that up with a whole summer of Red Tide.

Just awful. Stay safe Terry.

Terry, you should get in your car and drive 30 miles away from those fires and hide inside a strip club. It's the only way to be completely safe.

To be even safer, check into the VIP room

Those pictures are beautiful!

The clouds and fire look gorgeous! Damn those are some nice smoke clouds, can you achieve those just by burning normal brush type stuff? Gorgeous!

Damn I wish I lived there (well, I wish I was there, with my camera...)

Well, Monte, you could probably recreate this imagery right near your own house with a couple of gallons of gasoline and a match.

a couple of gallons? damn, is he trying to make napalm or something? the fumes of a couple of gallons would light up half his neighborhood.

Terry, i'm sure when i go back up to school next week I might be able to smell some of the smoke from the fires in dallas. just goes to show some asshole who tossed a cigarette out a window can destroy a lot of land.

Yeah, it's been pretty much determined that most of these fires in OK & TX were the result of "accidents" and outright "arsons".

Yeah, Monte... no gasoline needed. A simple match or lit cigarette can start a huge fire here at the moment with the extremely dry conditions we've had.
