I do not have a mac I have a pc:cry:. I'm trying to figure out what software is better.

Adobe Premiere Pro Cs3
Sony vegas 8 Pro or what please somebody let me know.

The better software is the one that works best for you. Adobe, Sony, and Grass Valley all offer free trials of their NLE software, so your best course of action is to download and install each, and test them out. Most give you virtually unbridled access to all major functions of the software, so you can really see how they'll operate in your workflow. One recommendation: don't start a major project with one of the trial installations. Sometimes, not everything transfers correctly when trying to move a project to the full version.

Knowledge is power...

yup...try the free demos...see what u like better...all of them do the same thing in a nutshell. They are just tools, the real work starts in your head., lol.... wow that sounded super cheezzzzzy

Hi,

Yep. Try them out. But I'd read up first. Make sure you know what you're doing so the trial is worthwhile.

I'm rather fond of Vegas as a general-purpose editor - and it's pretty easy to get into, but I teach the Adobe's family of software mostly, and I'm more familiar with it since it is a day in, day out software family for me. Short cuts (as a whole) are similar - you go with what you know.

Which is another point - dumb easy as it sounds: what ever you get comfortable with will get your nod - no matter how clumsy someone else finds it. If you like it, you'll use it. Try some things out to find out what you like, and good luck!
